A GENUINE TRACK RECORD
In just under 20 years of governmental advocacy work, a lot can happen.
Below is a list of bills Faytene worked with elected officials on to pass:
FIGHTING HUMAN TRAFFICKING
Bill C-268 - mandatory minimum sentencing for trafficking of children 18 years and younger.
Bill C-310 - which reaches Canadian law into other countries where Canadian citizens or permanent residents traffic or exploit others abroad.
PROTECTING CHILDREN
Raising the age of sexual consent from 14 years to 16 years to help protect minors from sexual exploitation.
PROTECTING WOMEN
Bill C-510 - which, if passed would have protected pregnant women from abuse & and coercion.
PROTECTING SOCIETY
Bill C-75 - helped bring amendments to a Liberal bill that would have reduced penalties for terrorism and obstructing religious services.
Since the early 2000's, through leadership delegations that I led to Parliament, I have also be active in advocating for:
-
income splitting
-
a national suicide prevention strategy
-
protection of physician conscience rights
-
protection against the misogynistic practice of gendercide
-
First Nations Clean Water initiatives
-
vulnerable minority immigration
-
informed consent
I have also worked to be a strong voice for:
-
balanced budgets
-
innovation
-
free market economies
-
lower taxes
-
strong fiscal stewardship of taxpayers' money
